You start by purchasing a high-quality liquid culture of your chosen mushroom species from the Spore Buddies online store. Next, clean the injection port of your bag with an alcohol wipe to remove unwanted contaminants. Carefully inoculate the substrate by injecting the liquid culture through an injection port and place the kit in a warm, dark environment between 24-27 °C while it incubates. Place the injected bag into your mushroom incubator and maintain a stable temperature.
Spores will germinate in 7–10 days, with white mycelium patches appearing in the substrate. Once visible, gently mix the bag to help the mycelium spread. Repeat mixing as colonisation progresses. After full colonisation (the substrate turns white), place the bag under artificial light. The kit will begin fruiting automatically, no need to open the bag or adjust humidity.
Your first flush should appear within 35–45 days. To harvest, open the bag slightly and twist mushrooms free. Rehydrate the substrate after each flush by adding water (about 80% of the harvested mushrooms’ wet weight), resealing the bag, and returning it to the incubator. The all-in-one mushroom growing kit can produce multiple flushes until the substrate is spent.
