This cross was developed to capture the robust traits of Golden Teacher, known for its resistance to contamination, and the rare albino visuals of Albino A+. Moby Dick quickly became a favourite among cultivators for its quick colonisation and consistency across a wide range of substrates.
Growth Characteristics
Moby Dick spores produce dense mycelium that colonises rapidly and yields high-performance flushes:
- Substrate Compatibility: Ideal for grain, compost, rye, coir, and manure blends
- Colonisation Temp: 24–27 °C
- Fruiting Temp: 22–26 °C
Microscopic Features
Under the microscope, Moby Dick spores typically show:
- Shape: Ellipsoid
- Size: 11–17 × 7–12 µm
- Colour: Purplish-black
- Texture: Smooth, suitable for slide and print study
Instructions for Use
Using the Moby Dick Spore Syringe:

- Open the sterile needle packet and attach the coloured hub to the syringe.
- Remove the needle protector when ready.
- Inject the desired amount of solution into your study area.
- Replace the needle protector and discard responsibly.
How to Store Your Spore Syringes
- Unused Syringes: Keep in their original packaging and store in the fridge at 2–8 °C.
- Partially Used Syringes: Refit the syringe cap and return to the fridge at 2–8 °C. Always use a new sterile needle, replacements are available in our store.
